Mr. Everson is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting advisory service offering. He has more than a decade of experience serving clients in the United States and Australia. Mr. Everson is dedicated to providing corporate and financial sponsor clients with accounting and financial reporting advisory services in conjunction with private and public market M&A activities, strategic alliances, and accessing the global capital markets through private and public debt and equity raises. He is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.
Mr. Everson has executed a number of acquisitions for domestic and multinational clients, delivering specific advice related to regulatory compliance, purchase accounting, pro forma preparation, technical accounting, and U.S. GAAP conversion. In his previous role at Deloitte, his experience ranged from providing advice and financial audits to public asset managers and insurers, as well as multinational banks and domestic broker-dealers, and consulting for the largest bank in Australia. Mr. Everson is viewed as a rising leader in the profession.
Mr. Everson holds a B.S. in Business Administration–Accounting from San Diego State University, where he graduated with distinction in the major and was twice the recipient of the William E. Cole Director’s Top 20 Award. He also received an M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated magna cum laude. Mr. Everson is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois. He earned an Excel Award from the Illinois CPA Society for achieving a combined average score of over 94% on all sections of the CPA examination, within two consecutive testing windows, and for being in the top 5% of Illinois scores.
