Mr. Murlick is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting advisory service offering. As part of the Transaction Advisory Services practice, his role includes researching relevant guidance on complex accounting and financial reporting matters involving U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other international GAAP matters that arise in the M&A process; analyzing and building financial models to client specifications; and assisting clients in debt and equity capital raises. Mr. Murlick is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Murlick worked for Grant Thornton. While there, he worked on a variety of accounting and M&A-related engagements, including SPAC and IPO issuer filings, assessments of new accounting standard adoptions, and IFRS conversions. Before that, Mr. Murlick worked for PwC, where he managed and completed various audits of both Fortune 500 and privately owned companies.
Mr. Murlick holds a B.P.A. in Professional Accountancy from Saginaw Valley State University, where he graduated with distinction. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Michigan.
