Mr. Wang is a member of Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Finance business. He has extensive experience in M&A, capital markets, and private equity transactions. Mr. Wang is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Wang completed an internship at D. E. Shaw & Co. Previously, he was with Jeneration Capital, an Asia-based $3 billion AUM technology fund, where he executed four growth equity investments totaling approximately $50 million. Mr. Wang began his career at BofA Securities (formerly Bank of America Merrill Lynch) in Palo Alto before transferring to Hong Kong, closing 12 M&A and financing transactions totaling approximately $31 billion.
Mr. Wang’s transaction experience includes serving as buyside advisor to Infineon on its approximately $10.1 billion acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor, buyside advisor to CommScope on its approximately $7.4 billion acquisition of ARRIS, sellside advisor on the approximately $2.9 billion sale of Flexera to Thoma Bravo, sellside advisor on the sale of ECi Software to Apax Partners, joint bookrunner on Peloton’s $1.2 billion IPO, joint sponsor on the HK$2.0 billion spinoff IPO of SF Intra-City Industrial, and financial advisor on Ascend Money’s $150 million private placement.
Mr. Wang earned a B.A. with honors in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
