Nicolas Zintl

Managing Director

Mr. Zintl is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group, with a focus on automotive and capital goods. He has more than two decades of investment banking experience covering a broad range of sectors, products, and geographies. Mr. Zintl is based in the firm’s Frankfurt office.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Zintl led the M&A Execution effort of Barclays Capital in Germany, where he previously acted as Coverage Officer for a large number of German corporate clients. He started his career at J.P. Morgan, where he worked in the London, Frankfurt, and Tokyo offices in a range of M&A-related functions.

Recent transactions include The Renco Group’s sale of Inteva Roof Systems to CIE Automotive; ZMJ’s and CRCI’s acquisition of Robert Bosch’s Starter Motors and Generators business; the sale of Broetje-Automation for DBAG to Shanghai Electric; the sale of Spheros for DBAG to Valeo; the sale of Johann Hay to Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd.; and the sale of IEE for Apax to a Chinese consortium.

Mr. Zintl’s public M&A experience includes Porsche’s combination with Volkswagen Group, including the multibillion-euro public offer and financing, the acquisition of Consors by BNP Paribas, the acquisition of jobpilot by Adecco, and the defense of Kamps against Barilla S.p.A., along with its subsequent sale. He also worked on the attempted acquisition of AirTouch by Mannesmann AG.

Mr. Zintl received a business degree from WHU in Germany. He also studied at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh and Waseda University in Tokyo. Prior to his studies, Mr. Zintl carried out an apprenticeship with Deutsche Bank in Germany.
