Mr. Lerche is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group and is responsible for the restructuring franchise in the Nordic region. He has been with the firm for nearly 20 years, during which time he has specialized in financial restructurings across various jurisdictions. Mr. Lerche is based in the firm’s Frankfurt office.
Mr. Lerche’s deal experience comprises advising companies, private equity sponsors, par and non-par lender groups, and bidders for distressed assets. Notable transactions on which he has advised include Arvin Meritor, A.T.U, Augusta Technologie, Highstreet Holding, Hilding Anders, IVG Immobilien, Merckle-Gruppe, Norske Skogindustrier, OC Oerlikon, PA Resources, Pfleiderer, ProSiebenSat1, Sanitec, Schaeffler Technologies, Schefenacker, SolarWorld, Talvivaara Mining, and TiZir.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Lerche worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein on M&A, financial restructurings, and financing transactions. He began his professional career as an attorney and insolvency practitioner with Wellensiek Rechtsanwalte in Heidelberg and Frankfurt.
Mr. Lerche earned his German law degree at the universities of Freiburg and Munster in Germany.
