Mr. Tracey is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Institutions Group. He is based in the firm’s London office.

He was a Director with Quayle Munro prior to its acquisition by Houlihan Lokey in 2018. Mr. Tracey joined Quayle Munro in 2014 from Canaccord (formerly Hawkpoint), where he focused on key verticals of the financial services industry, advising businesses involved in principal risk taking, advice, product distribution, software, services, and data within lending (banking, credit and speciality finance, consumer credit, property finance, SME finance, asset and vehicle finance, and NPLs); insurance (general lines and life assurance); asset and wealth management; and financial markets.

Mr. Tracey’s clients have included private and public companies, private equity and financial investors, founders, and entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, he advised on a wide range of international corporate finance transactions, such as the sales of BlueStep Bank to EQT; Voogd & Voogd to the Rothschild Group; Target Group to Tech Mahindra Ltd; Lowell Group Ltd to TDR Capital; MCS to Cerberus Capital Management; Singers Asset Finance to Shawbrook Bank; Marlin Financial Group to Cabot Credit Management; Ocean Finance to OneSavings Bank/Think Money; and ULTIMO to B2 Holding Group; as well as the merger of Windsor Ltd and Hyperion Insurance Group Ltd.

He has also advised on the acquisitions of Ascot Lloyd via its merger with Bellpenny; GetBack (for a consortium of investment funds, including Abris Capital Partners); Cabot Credit Management Ltd for Encore Capital Group and J.C. Flowers & Co; and three transactions for Chesnara plc: Save & Prosper Insurance Ltd and Direct Line Life Insurance in the UK and Waard Group in the Netherlands, including associated debt and equity raisings. Mr. Tracey’s fundraising experience includes acting for Bellpenny on raising finance from Ares Management; WeSwap (investment from Ascot Capital Partners); Succession Holdings Ltd (from Inflexion Private Equity); Capquest (from TowerBrook Capital Partners), Aldermore Bank; and the Kaupthing Bank estate.

Mr. Tracey holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Durham University.
