Mr. Chen is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Board and Special Committee Advisory and Transaction Opinions practices. He primarily advises boards of directors, special committees, company management, and other constituents in evaluating transaction proposals, strategic alternatives, and corporate governance issues across a variety of situations, including mergers and acquisitions, take-privates, restructurings, capital raises, spin-offs, and asset sales. Mr. Chen also has substantial experience in related-party and cross-border transactions. He is based in the firm’s New York office.

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Chen was a Strategy and Finance Associate at a consumer product startup. Before that, he worked as an Investment Analyst at a New York-based family office, where he focused on public equity investing, primarily in technology, internet, and consumer sectors.

Mr. Chen holds a B.S. in Accounting from Baruch College and an M.S. in Finance from Vanderbilt University.
