Mr. Gupta is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Portfolio Valuation and Fund Advisory Services practice within the firm’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He has nearly a decade of valuation experience, providing an array of valuation services across a wide variety of asset classes to alternative asset managers, including credit funds, hedge funds, insurance companies, private banks, private equity, and venture capital funds. Mr. Gupta is based in the firm’s Mumbai office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Gupta was a Manager at PwC’s Financial Markets & Real Estate practice, where he was involved with the valuation of Structured Products (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs) and also led the Private Credit practice, providing mark-to-market valuations across diverse portfolios of illiquid and privately held securities, including loans, bonds, convertibles, and preferred equity. Mr. Gupta is well-versed in various valuation methodologies and approaches and is also known for his familiarity with litigation claims and bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Gupta holds a B.B.A. from Jadavpur University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
