Mr. Golem is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Services Group. He has more than two decades of investment banking and private equity experience, focused primarily on the insurance industry. Mr. Golem is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Mr. Golem’s transaction experience prior to joining Houlihan Lokey includes the sale of Legacy Restoration to Bessemer Investors, LLC, and the sale of Assured Relocation, Inc., to CRS Temporary Housing.
Previously, Mr. Golem was a Partner and Managing Director at Waller Helms Advisors, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2024. At Waller Helms Advisors, he focused primarily on the insurance industry and provided M&A, capital-raising, and valuation advice to a variety of insurance, insurance distribution, and claims services companies nationwide. Before that, Mr. Golem was a Partner and Managing Director at StoneRidge Advisors, LLC, an insurance-focused investment banking firm. Earlier, he was a Vice President at Glencoe Capital, LLC, where he focused on identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in the business services and financial services industries. Mr. Golem began his career at Cochran, Caronia and Co., an investment banking boutique serving the insurance industry.
Mr. Golem holds a B.B.A. with high honors in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA with concentrations in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
