Ryan Lett

Director

Mr. Lett is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Technology Group. He has an extensive background in software M&A and financial advisory, with more than 30 completed transactions. Over nearly two decades, Mr. Lett has specialized in advising businesses with disruptive technology, founder leadership, and strategic M&A dynamics. He is based in the firm’s San Francisco office.

Mr. Lett’s extensive private equity transaction experience spans world-class firms, including Apollo, Audax, Bain Capital, Charlesbank, Clearlake Capital, Harvest Partners, HGGC, HIG, Insight Partners, KKR, New Mountain Capital, Summit Partners, TA Associates, Thoma Bravo, Vector Capital, and Vista Equity Partners.

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Lett was a Vice President in William Blair’s Technology Investment Banking Group, where he led the DevOps investment banking practice. Before that, he spent six years in corporate development at IBM. Mr. Lett was instrumental in the M&A strategy for several acquisitions for IBM, including the landmark Red Hat transaction. 

Mr. Lett holds a B.S. in Biology and Society from Cornell University.
