Mr. O’Toole is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Aerospace, Defense & Government practice. He possesses more than two decades of investment banking experience focused exclusively on aerospace and defense and specializes in sellside and buyside M&A, complex corporate divestitures, and capital markets advisory. Mr. O’Toole is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
During his career, Mr. O’Toole has advised a broad range of clients, including industry leaders such as Boeing and Northrop Grumman, private equity investors, and private/entrepreneur-owned businesses. Specifically, he has worked with more than 80 clients across various market segments, including proprietary components and subsystems; defense electronics and components; metallic composites and assemblies (aerostructures, engine components); fasteners and specialty hardware; maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO); and distribution. Notable transactions include the sales of PulseR to The Jordan Company; Precinmac to Pine Island & Bain; RSA Engineered Products to Trimas; Kellstrom Defense to Odyssey Investments, PneuDraulics, Tactair Fluid Controls, and Skandia to TransDigm; EDAC Composites to Meggitt; Perfekta Aero and B&E Machine to Cadence Aerospace; Shultz Steel, Alloy Processing, Summit Machine, and American Handforge, among others, to Precision Castparts; Harter Aerospace to HEICO; and Aerofit to Tinicum LP.
Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Mr. O’Toole served as Senior Banker in the aerospace and defense group at Lazard Frères and also spent several years at Jefferies Quarterdeck.
Mr. O’Toole holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
