Ryan Sandahl

Managing Director

Mr. Sandahl is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group. His experience includes representing companies, creditors, sponsors, and other constituents in restructuring, capital-raising, and M&A transactions. Mr. Sandahl is based in the firm’s Chicago office.

Mr. Sandahl’s select recent transactions include: Viant Technology Inc., special situations sale; Groeb Farms, sale and restructuring through Chapter 11; Project Percy, capital structure amendment process; Furniture Brands International, advising the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in Chapter 11; Momentive Performance Materials, advising the Ad Hoc Committee of Holders of Second Lien Notes; Northstar Aerospace, advising Boeing related to the review of strategic alternatives and sale of a distressed supplier through Chapter 11; advising Pacific Monarch Resorts in a sale and restructuring through Chapter 11; advising Westgate Resorts secured lenders’ in a comprehensive out-of-court restructuring and sale of the Planet Hollywood Tower in Las Vegas; advising J.L. French Automotive in a pre-negotiated Chapter 11 restructuring; advising a national flooring distributor in a recapitalization; advising Atlantis Plastics in a sellside M&A transaction executed in Chapter 11; and advising Wells’ Dairy in a refinancing transaction. He has worked on a wide variety of other engagements for clients in the airline, chemicals, consumer products, distribution, food, healthcare, metals, oil & gas, real estate, and textile industries, among others.

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Sandahl was an Associate in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ corporate finance group. Before that, he was an Analyst in Bank of America’s portfolio management group.

Mr. Sandahl holds a B.A. in Economics with a second major in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis.
