Mr. Alford is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group. He has worked in investment banking for more than 20 years and has advised on a wide range of sellside and buyside M&A transactions, fairness and solvency opinions, corporate valuations, and restructurings. He is based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Over his career, Mr. Alford has advised on approximately 100 consummated transactions, the bulk of which have been focused on industrial technologies and capital goods. His notable recent transactions include the sale of 3M Gas & Flame Detection to Teledyne; the sale of GAL Manufacturing to Golden Gate Capital; the divestiture of Evoqua Water Technologies’ MEMCORE Membrane division to DuPont; strategic advisory for SPX Corp. resulting in the spinoff of SPX FLOW; and advising on the restructurings of Delphi Technologies and Suzlon Energy.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Alford was an Associate in M&A at Century Capital Group (formerly Vine Street Partners) and a Senior Associate at Deutsche Bank.
Mr. Alford holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
