Scott Alford

Managing Director

Mr. Alford is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group, with a primary focus on industrial technologies and capital goods. He has advised on a wide range of sellside and buyside M&A transactions, fairness and solvency opinions, corporate valuations, and restructurings. Mr. Alford’s notable recent transactions include the sales of Metem Corp. to GE, Spheros to Valeo, High Pressure Equipment Co. to Graco, WellMark to Dover Corp., and B27 to DXP Enterprises; strategic advisory for SPX resulting in the spinoff of SPX Flow; and advising on the restructurings of Delphi and Suzlon Energy. He is based in the firm’s Chicago office.

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Alford was an Associate in M&A at Century Capital Group (formerly Vine Street Partners) and a Senior Associate at Deutsche Bank’s asset management subsidiary.

Mr. Alford holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa and an MBA with concentrations in Analytic Finance, Accounting, and Economics from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
