Mr. Soobotin is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group. He specializes in financial restructuring, liability management, special situations, and financing transactions. Mr. Soobotin has advised on both in-court and out-of-court transactions with experience working with companies and investors in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Before joining the firm’s Los Angeles office, he was based in London.
Mr. Soobotin’s notable transactions include Agrokor, Avaya, Alpha Credit, Bumble Bee Foods, Crédito Real, Folli Follie, Frontier Communications, GEO Group, Guitar Center, OSN, Service King, Shutterfly, Tradeshift, and Wheel Pros.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Soobotin was an investment professional at EdgeStone Capital Partners and an analyst at National Bank of Canada in Toronto. He also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Soobotin holds a B.Com. from the University of British Columbia and an M.S. in Finance from London Business School. He is a CFA charterholder.
