Mr. Guillema is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Sponsors Group, where he focuses on private equity firms and alternative asset managers, with a primary emphasis on relationships across the Southern United States. He is based in the firm’s Dallas office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Guillema was a Managing Director in the Capital Advisory Group at Lincoln International, where he led the execution of a broad range of complex capital structure and strategic transactions. He has deep expertise in structuring and raising debt and equity capital to support refinancings, recapitalizations, balance sheet restructuring transactions, sponsor-led buyouts, and growth initiatives. Mr. Guillema has served as a trusted advisor to financial sponsors, public and private companies, boards of directors, special committees, official creditor committees, and ad hoc lender groups.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Guillema held roles at Armory Group, initially serving as a Vice President in the investment banking division, where he focused on advisory assignments. He then transitioned to the asset management division as a Senior Credit Analyst, investing in stressed and distressed companies. Mr. Guillema began his career in the investment banking division at Wedbush Securities and as a consultant with EY.
Mr. Guillema earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Southern California.
