Mr. Arora is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory team within the firm’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, where he assists clients with the accounting and financial reporting complexities of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other international GAAP matters, as well as SEC reporting issues. He has more than a decade of experience serving clients in different geographies. Mr. Arora is based in the firm’s Gurugram office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Arora worked at KPMG’s Accounting Advisory Services team. Before that, he was an Executive in Ernst & Young India’s Audit and FAAS Practice.
Mr. Arora has helped clients navigate accounting and financial reporting requirements for M&A, carve-outs, and IPOs. He has extensive experience in assisting clients with purchase accounting, financial, and SEC reporting, as well as end-to-end implementation of new accounting standards, such as lease accounting. In addition, Mr. Arora has led teams in performing GAAP assessments and in writing accounting policies and position papers on various technical accounting topics, in accordance with IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
Mr. Arora has also previously led ESG reporting delivery efforts while assisting with gap assessments, peer benchmarking, scoping exercises, and preparing an overall implementation roadmap across multiple frameworks, including CSRD, SEC climate rules, and ISSB.
Mr. Arora holds a B.Com. from Delhi University. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds an IFRS certification from ICAI.
