Ms. Xia is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group and Co-Head of China Restructuring. Having joined in 2012, she advises clients on restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and financing in both Greater China and Southeast Asia. Ms. Xia is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office.
Ms. Xia has represented major companies and creditors on complex restructuring situations across different industries worldwide. She has advised on some of the most high-profile and complicated transactions in the region, including China Evergrande Group, Shimao, Kaisa, Fantasia, Modern Land, Luckin Coffee, iQIYI, Car Inc., Yestar Healthcare, GCL Energy, Hilong Group, Huachen Energy, China Shanshui Cement, Winsway Enterprises, Bumi Resources, Paladin Energy, Sterling Biotech, and Oro Negro.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Xia worked in the Corporate Finance, Investment Banking Department at J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific, where she focused on M&A and capital raisings. She started her career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Ms. Xia graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a B.S. in Economics & Mathematics and a Certificate in Markets and Management Studies.
