Ms. O’Brien is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Portfolio Valuation and Fund Advisory Services practice. She specializes in the valuation of illiquid, hard-to-value securities held by a wide range of alternative asset managers, including business development companies, hedge funds, private equity funds, and limited partner investors. Ms. O’Brien’s security valuation experience includes loans and bonds, convertible debt, preferred equity, common equity, and various derivative investments. She is based in the firm’s Boston office.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. O’Brien was a Vice President in Duff & Phelps’ Portfolio Valuation practice, where she focused on security valuation in the BDC and private credit space for financial reporting purposes.
Ms. O’Brien received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Vermont. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).
