Mr. Ali is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He has more than a decade of experience providing valuation services to various clients relating to financial and tax reporting, acquisitions, impairment testing, insurance placement, collateral analyses, and strategic decision-making purposes. Mr. Ali also carried out techno-economic viability and lenders engineering assignments for several industries. Additionally, he has experience in environmental engineering research and development. Mr. Ali is based in the firm’s Mumbai office.
Mr. Ali specializes in the valuation of property, plant, and equipment in various industries, including oil and gas, chemicals, petrochemicals, power, steel, aluminum, pharmaceutical, automobile, auto ancillary, pulp and paper, and commercial aircraft, among others.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Ali spent nearly a decade at Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps). Before that, he worked for Mott MacDonald. Mr. Ali began his career working for the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute in India.
Mr. Ali holds a B.Tech from Nagpur University and a PGDM in Finance from the Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research. He also holds an Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety. Mr. Ali is a qualified Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Engineers, India.
