Mr. Salman is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Special Situations and Real Estate practice within the firm’s Financial Restructuring business. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial industry, with a proven track record of executing solutions across the entire capital stack. Mr. Salman is based in the firm’s Dubai office.
Mr. Salman specializes in alternative capital, debt restructuring, private credit, and mergers and acquisitions. His expertise spans a broad range of sectors, including real estate, hospitality, financial services, infrastructure, education, and consumer goods, advising both private and publicly listed companies, as well as institutional investors.
Since joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Salman has advised on several notable and disclosable closed transactions, including SHUAA Capital PSC (DFM), Carbon Holdings Ltd., Gulf Cement Company (ADX), and Saudi Binladin Group—one of the largest global debt restructurings to date. He has also led multiple complex and confidential mandates involving special situations, alternative funding strategies, liability management, and distressed acquisitions.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Salman worked at Investbridge Capital, where he focused on buyside investments across multi-sector private credit and private equity investments in the GCC and Africa. He played a pivotal role in establishing and capitalizing an education investment platform in partnership with a global school operator and served as a member of the Investment Committee.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Salman managed a corporate credit portfolio at a regional bank, where he structured and executed more than 200 credit solutions for SMEs across various industries.
Mr. Salman holds a B.B.A. and a Master of Finance from the American University of Beirut.
