Director

Mr. Salman is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Special Situations and Real Estate practice within the firm’s Financial Restructuring Group. He brings more than 15 years of experience advising on complex, multi-stakeholder situations and delivering solutions across the capital structure. Mr. Salman is based in the firm’s Dubai office.

Mr. Salman focuses on alternative capital, restructuring, private credit, and asset management, as well as M&A and special situations. He advises private and publicly listed companies, as well as institutional investors, across real estate, hospitality, financial services, contracting, education, and consumer sectors. 

Since joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Salman has advised on several high-profile transactions, including SHUAA Capital PSC (DFM), Carbon Holdings, Gulf Cement Company (ADX), and Saudi Binladin Group, one of the largest global debt restructurings to date. He leads complex financing and special situations mandates, structuring bespoke capital solutions across private alternative capital (primarily in real estate), including liability management, distressed acquisitions, and structured financings for institutional investors.

Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Salman was a Director at Investbridge Capital, where he led multiple principal investments and advisory mandates across M&A, private equity, distressed debt acquisitions, and structured capital solutions. He was also part of one of the first real-estate-focused private credit platforms in the region, participating in investment committee processes and playing a key role in structuring and executing investments with a focus on strong risk-adjusted returns.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Salman managed a corporate credit portfolio at a regional bank, structuring and executing more than 200 credit transactions for SMEs across multiple industries.

Mr. Salman holds a B.B.A. and a Master of Finance from the American University of Beirut.
