Mr. Salman is a Senior Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group and Special Situations practice. He has more than a decade of experience in the financial industry. He is based in the firm’s Dubai office.
Throughout his career, Mr. Salman has executed multi-sector transactions across the whole capital stack and has a wide-ranging knowledge base, including debt restructuring and special situations, M&A advisory, corporate finance, distressed debt acquisitions, private lending, and real estate and alternative investments.
Since joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Salman’s disclosable notable transactions include SHUAA Capital PSC, Carbon Holdings Ltd, and Saudi Binladin Group, one of the largest debt restructuring deals globally. He has also been involved in multiple confidential and complex mandates, including debt restructuring, special situation funding, and distressed M&As.
Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Salman was a Director at Investbridge Capital, where he worked on buyside and sellside transactions across multiple sectors, ranging from real estate, financials, and FMCG to education and hospitality. In addition, he was part of the founding team and an investment committee member of an African education platform with a global school operator and has successfully raised several external investments.
Earlier, Mr. Salman managed a corporate credit portfolio at a regional bank and has structured more than 200 credit solutions for multi-sector SMEs.
Mr. Salman holds a B.B.A. and a Master of Finance from the American University of Beirut.
