Mr. Yamazaki is an Executive Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group. He has more than two decades of experience advising corporates and financial sponsors across the globe on M&A, equity capital markets, and leveraged finance transactions. Mr. Yamazaki has a track record of executing deals exceeding a total of $50 billion in M&A and $30 billion in equity and leveraged financing. Mr. Yamazaki has extensive expertise in cross-border M&A, having executed transactions in Japan and other Asian countries, Europe, and the United States in a wide range of industry sectors. He is based in the firm’s Tokyo office.
Previously, Mr. Yamazaki was an Executive Director at GCA Corporation, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to joining GCA, he founded Terralink Advisors, a boutique M&A firm focused on Japanese-related cross-border M&A and corporate finance advisory services. Before that, Mr. Yamazaki worked for Citigroup, where he was primarily responsible for cross-border M&A deals. He started his career at SBC Warburg (UBS), where he worked in the firm’s Tokyo and New York offices. Mr. Yamazaki was also an Advisor to the CEO of Musashi Seimitsu Industries from 2015 to 2016.
Mr. Yamazaki holds a B.S. in Applied Chemistry from Keio University.
