Mr. Takahashi is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Consumer Group. He has nearly two decades of investment banking experience at major global firms. Mr. Takahashi has played a leading role in originating and executing both domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, mainly in consumer retail. He is based in the firm’s Tokyo office.
Previously, Mr. Takahashi was a Managing Director at GCA Corporation, which was acquired by Houlihan Lokey in 2021. Prior to joining GCA, he was a Senior Managing Advisor at Mizuho Bank, where he led the firm’s consumer retail and cross-border M&A teams. While there, Mr. Takahashi advised on a wide range of M&A transactions, including large-scale deals involving industry reorganization, carve-outs of noncore businesses, tender offers, cross-border deals, strategy planning, and business succession. Before that, he was an Executive Director at UBS Investment Bank, where he covered global private equity funds and was responsible for promoting and executing cross-border M&A advisory and structured finance deals. Earlier, Mr. Takahashi was a Vice President at Citigroup, where he focused on structured finance and private equity fund deals.
Mr. Takahashi holds a B.A. in Economics from Keio University.
