Zach Hamilton

Vice President

Mr. Hamilton is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services practice. With more than eight years of transaction-related experience, Mr. Hamilton specializes in buyside and sellside financial accounting due diligence projects for both private equity firms and strategic buyers, and advises clients on the assessment of earnings quality, leverage recapitalizations, and GAAP accounting. Mr. Hamilton also has experience leading complex acquisitions involving carve-outs of public and private companies. In addition, he has advised clients on merger integration and divestiture planning and execution, including pre-deal due diligence, TSA development, and synergy identification. He is based in the firm’s Atlanta office.

Mr. Hamilton focuses on serving clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries, including acute and sub-acute care hospitals, managed care, durable medical equipment, intraoperative neuromonitoring, physician practices, home health, hospice, oncology, long-term care, nurse staffing, and specialty pharmaceuticals, among other sectors. Additionally, he has performed financial accounting due diligence projects across other industries, including consumer products, transportation, and telecommunications.

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Hamilton served in PwC’s M&A Advisory practice as well as the Transaction Advisory practices of Alvarez & Marsal and Ernst & Young. 

Mr. Hamilton earned a B.B.A. in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from The University of Georgia. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Georgia, New York, and Tennessee and an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
